We’re screwed, aren’t we?

If a picture tells a thousand words, this is The Iliad. Fox News must be creaming themselves.
If u didn’t know, he’s being dressed as a Somali elder by Sheikh Mahmed Hassan during a 2006 visit (as a senator) to Wajir in northeastern Kenya, near the borders with Somalia and Ethiopia.

Am I the first on facegate.org, I mean rustybook.org, I mean rustygate.org . Well i am sure that both the McCain and Clinton camps will be having fun with this picture but so what. he was observing a custom and culture and being polite to his hosts something numerous presidents and politicians have done on previous trips around the world. When will rustygate give us a preview of elections – don’t pretend you don’t live in Zim with expensive beer

Yeah sure. But you can imagine this image, being burned onto the retinas of all those Dumbericans who can’t be arsed to read/hear the story behind it. Damage.
You want a preview of the Zim erections? Yeah, I’ll do one soon … in my own way!

What, I don’t get it? Woaw!! Wait, is that Barack Obama?! What, didn’t they feed him back then?
February 26th, 2008 at 16:46 pm
The words storm and teacup come to mind. McCain is diddling his campaign staff, Hillary has whole cemeteries in her closet, this is aint a thing. Now if someone had pictures of him with explosives tied to his chest or something….

I am all for democracy, but that Ralph Nader really should stop pissing about and being a spoiler. He knows that in a gazillion trillion light years he is never going to win it. I hope this time round though he steals votes from the Republicans not the Democrats.

I don’t think it is mud, but you know what middle america is like. You might as well consider the image permanently engraved on their retinas. They will, tragically, not forget it. And besides, I already resigned my ass to the sad fact that McCain is winning anyway. My faith in America was obliterated the moment i found out the the world was stuck with an imbicile as the leader of the most powerful nation for another 4 years, even after he had managed to endanger the lives of not only middle eastern standbyers, but those of the nation he is desparately trying to protect. Or was it the statement that GOD had made him do it? Now that was just plan horrific. There is no room for religion in the politics of a democracy. There never will be.

Drivel, really. It’s all drivel.

I have decided that even if I did have the right to vote in the March 29 election, I wouldnt vote for any of the numpties running. Bob:100 000. Tsvangirai: all-round naivete and lack of political nous, Simba, well I have finally found voice to my disquiet about the Simba bid. It’s about his supposed backers in Zanu and their alleged fears of a great-uncle induced backlash. They are in a win-win situation, if the great unk wins, they win. If Simba wins, they win too. For all Tsvangirai’s faults (too many to enumerate) he at least has the courage of his convictions and the scars to show for it. These so called backers want to bask in the glory of other people’s hard work, and that is hardly the kind of politician I want representing my interests, from whom I expect little anyway.

The only way to fight Zanu is from within,so if Simms tells the world his backers he`ll have noone inside to help him out. There are secretly campainging for him.

If they have secrets now at campaigning stage, how many cemeteries will be rattling in their closets if ever elected to power. That is what gets my goat, the fact that all these hangers on will be crawling out of the woodwork or out from under whichever rock they have been hiding. Its like they say in the Bible, if you know that you are doing a good thing you will come out and let the light shine on your deeds. Only if you have something to hide do you operate under the cover of darkness. And that is the thing, you vote for Simba but you dont know what you are getting in the bargain. At least with the others who have thrown their hats in the ring, you know what excess baggage comes attached to it. For all his talk of manifestos and change, the real change comes from breaking with the old and dysfunctional. Which is not what we will be getting. Those are some of the real issues people need to be looking at, not just the glamour factor of his bid.

So write a post then, since you obviously have strog opinions on it. I am yet to publicise my views
February 28th, 2008 at 16:31 pm
Haha, if only Middle America (to pander to the redneck stereotype, and shamefully so) did a little reading, the Republican machine would run out of steam.
