Meet Joe Black...

Joe Black was born in the summer of 1979, with Zimbabwe on the verge of total independence. Having missed the dreaded ‘born-free’ tag by mere months, he proceeded to grow into a fine upstanding citizen of the new democracy. Not.

What The Hell...

You may be surprised at the colours! I haven't converted to Old Hararians - I remain a Harare Sports Club man. I'd lost a bet to the OH coach, so we had to change for a while. Now I kinda like it ...

  9. Eleanor Says:

There are times when even I, eloquent though I may be, am at a loss for words. And they tell me that silence is golden. Maybe its something we could peddle to the great unk and people like that Obadiah Musindo just to get a bit of filthy lucre in the reserves.

  10. ed lover Says:

  20. Joe Black Says:

Too bad the Bangla Tigers got spanked … would have been a purrfect weekend.

  21. Eleanor Says:

Its a pity peeps dont get marks for effort. Coz the first test vakambomira mira. then it was downhill all the way from then on. Thank goodness it’s not a long tour, all those whitewashes would have given the Saskos life-endangering big heads. Hopefully India will be ready for them.

  22. Joe Black Says:

Tonight we take on Inter … for Rafa’s survival.

  23. Eleanor Says:

Who do you think is going to get the chop first: Rara or Avram?

  24. ed lover Says:

    Rara the goat obviously!

  25. alias Says:

    Yo JB,

sorry about my bail yesterday I walked from Highlands to some place called Waterfalls and back. I didn’t even want to look at my shoes never mind put them on. I’ll holla at ya next Friday.

  26. Joe Black Says:

You like this walking business, don’tcha? I can never get it … jump into a kombi. No problems.

    Rafa will triumph.

  27. Eleanor Says:

Highlands to Waterfalls. I been gone a long time, but I distinctly remember that being quite far. How long did that little mission take? More importantly, why?

  28. alias Says:

I took a kombi for part of the way back.

The mission took about 2 1/2 hours each way.

I was there looking for another volunteer position at the Chiedza Children’s Center. I’ll moving in there on or around April 1st to help them design and build a classroom like structure.

  29. Joe Black Says:

Yeah, we understand the noble cause and all, but … walking????

  30. alias Says:

I didn’t really know where I was going so I didn’t want to just jump into a van and have it drop me off somewhere in the souther ‘burbs of town. Anyhow what are you saying for the next few weekends now that you’re a regular working stiff?

  31. Galadriel Says:

JB: Is it true about Mr Seka and if so, que pasa?

  32. Joe Black Says:

There’s nu’in regular about me bra, I’m a “working stiff” but still rather irregular.

Gala, what about Mr Seka? I don’t know.

  33. Galadriel Says:

    That the man passed away.

  34. Eleanor Says:

Rediscovered some old loves, cinematically speaking: Lock, Stock and 2 smoking barrels & Malcolm X. Life is worth living again.

  35. Eleanor Says:

Well, the gaffer lives to fight another day. All’s fair in love and war.

  36. ed lover Says:

Yeh yeh thanks be to the ref!

  37. Joe Black Says:

    You’ve gotta love it.

  38. Eleanor Says:

He, these ManUre sour puss(i)es. We never hear your complaints when decisions go your way at Old Trafford.

  39. Eleanor Says:

After years of resistance, I have finally sold out to the establishment and gone mainstream. The afro is dead. I am now sporting hair straighter than the road to The Great Uncle’s Kutama crib.
