I feel the earth move under my feet

Not just lyrics to a Carole King song anymore, because I have just felt my first earthquake. Earthquakes are not nice.

Still awake at 0022 this morning (after watching Barca show Chelsea who’s boss), I experienced my first seismic event. Well, since I lost my virginity, that is.

There’s something about the ground shaking which kind of reminds you just how insignificant you are in the great scheme of things, isn’t there? I mean, how tiny are you, considering an earthquake over in Mozambique can be felt in Zim, Zam and RSA?

Don’t worry, I’m not getting religious. Yet.

  1. hi there, ya heard about the quake all over the news here. freaky isn’t it? I’m glad there havent been many casualties, at least not reported in NZ

  2. Yeah, still haven’t any news on casualties from Mozambique. Would you believe there’s some peeps here who slept thru the whole thing? And not just the drunkards 🙂
