Dear Multichoice: you gotta be fecking kidding me!
So it’s finally come to light that, without warning or prior notice, DSTV viewers in Zimbabwe will only be able to watch one live English Premiership football match a day.
This is apparently because MultiChoice only took up full coverage rights for South Africa, and the rest of the continent has to do with 20% of live games. This, of course, has been met with howls of derision across the rest of the continent. And especially in the pubs of Harare.
I won’t dwell on the merits of MultiChoice’s decisions or excuses, their confusingly-worded statements or even the hotness of the chicks at their call centre in Avondale. I just have one question.
How the feck do you think French football will replace the Barclays Premiership?
P.S. – Oh thanks, we have South African football to help us get through this. Yay.
And the Nigerian football – Oga
They don’t really care about you or anyone. Besides aren’t you the one “who didn’t need DSTV to feel alive”, and that is verbatim?
As if being denied beer wasnt bad enough. I mean seriously though, I smell a conspiracy theory out there somewhere. Proverbial straws and all that.
Sounds like someone is having a really shitty week.
Aiwa guys, this is just not on now! There is NO beer in the shops (been there). I’m quittin smoking but cigs are now off the market.
ANd you tell me ain’t no Liverpool on telly? WTF?
Ah, but I can listen to it off the BBC Five Live radio commentary, which is lekker.
And I know the stream is region-locked to the UK, but I’m using a proxy 🙂
am very surprised hausati wachema about the penalty yakapiwa Chelsea ha ha
That’s cos it would be so predictable and cliched. Besides, bitching at Multichoice was enough for me for a while, I just don’t have energy to be blasting Rob Styles as well.
Or do I? …
And to make it worse Liverpool vs Chelsea and Man Utd vs Man City on the same day and which game do they show… Man Utd vs Man City!!! WTF!??
Yeah Myk3l, but I’m over it now myself … I don’t care anymore.
JB, is this a case of if you tell yourself that often enough, you will start to believe your own falsehoods. You have an emminent and glittering career ahead of you as a state journalist/propagandist.
I know, I so NEED a Herald press pass…
Ah dont lose hope Joe. Us Zimbos always make a plan….scrap DSTV if thats all you watch and get yourself some GTV….coming soon to Zim…an arb english Bouquet offering English Premier League for something like $40/mth….will keep you posted….
Praise the Lord Hallelujah 🙂
I’ma take that GTV for sheezy, cos it sure ain’t got no CNN and no frikkin Ugly Betty 🙂
Yup, I say bring on the GTV, pasi neDSTV!
About time those punks at Multichoice caught a wake up call.
