And I hate Microsoft. And I hate thieves who steal others’ laptops. I hate desktops. I hate Windows XP activation horseshit.
Worst of all, I hate not having a working machine to do my blogging and working and emailing and porn and writing on. I hate computers.
The same computers that are your bread and butter? But point taken. 🙂
Oh how I wish they weren’t sometimes, how I wish they were not.
dude I’ll give you my HD PVR – it’s like schizophrenic marmite. You don’t either love it or hate, you do both at various times and stages.
You know what they say, ‘you maketh your bed, you lieth in it.’
LOL sorry dude, how much research did you do before you got it? Cos I almost bought a nice one, portable too, until one of my mates got one and advised me to trawl the internet forums for reviews.
Uhm … caveat emptor.
dude – it’s not that bad. actually getting into it big time. it was released for the Olympics and then they have played around on it for a bit. The one that I have is a Pace version not a UEC version. I got it as a Christmas present.
It has four tuners which allows you to watch one channel (tuner one), record two channels (tuners two and three), epg and on-demand (tuner four). The On-demand is not available yet but is on the SD-PVR. I am a strong believer in not getting version/generation 1 equipment because there are always bugs and problems.
I think the guys at Multichoice are poor programmers and not up to speed. I wanted to have pvr capacity – so it’s better to have the latest model with HD rather than the SD. Might invite you to my house for the Chelsea game on Sunday – projector not TV baby.
Sounds good. I’m there.
Daddy, you are such a show off! How do you manage all this when the country’s economy is repeatedly going down the crapper?
Trust me Tara, Daddy ain’t no show off. No grill, no bling, no German auto. Maybe you think that is because he doesn’t subscribe to the notion of conspicuous consumption.
He has been seen shopping at Borrowdale Brooke Spar but is more likely to be seen at Ballantyne (closer to home) grabbing rolls, wors and six pack of Hansa.
Daddy thinks you need some loving. Unfortunately he has no vacancies. But can still give you some sexual seduction or ear candy.
As for how Daddy manages living in Zimbabwe. He tries to take it one beer at a time.
There is a Jewish saying that if every man went into a room and threw his biggest problem on a table clearly labelled and everyone was then asked to collect their problem, each person would collect his own. Because at the end of the day, you understand your problem.
Easy tiger, whoa, down boy. You still drinking that Hansa swill? Disgusting 🙂
Would it have made a difference had I said that I was ‘just sayin’? 🙂
The most TV I can squeeze in any week is 5 minutes of morning news while having breakfast – and then u guys actually record stuff!!!
BD, I envy the free time you have (JB, u too!)…
just sayin…:-)
Ehm, the whole point of having a PVR, dumb-ass, is if you don’t have to time to watch a show.
Some of us are the Kings of extra curricula activities: rugby training, referees meetings, rugby meetings, club meetings, board meetings, et aliter. Hence the PVR. It allows you to schedule TV around your life. I have shows that I love to watch and hate missing. Now if the meeting drags on a bit or the last beer is tasting lovely then I don’t mind. Get home and rewind the show and watch it from the beginning or watch something recorded earlier.
BTW – Hansa’s in Zim are mostly timexed so back to being a beer whore.
Tara – que?
JB – Ok, clever sausage…
@BD – relax, deflate, u might just burst right there…speaking about rugby, is the intercity league still running? havent heard of OMs, OH, OGs, HSC, Districts etc since way back…
Mos Native you must be deaf. OH, DD, HSC are going strong. OM’s, Panthers are limping along. This year there will be an intercity league.
So Pat’s finally given up on the Zim Dollar. Dip stick!
BD – as one of the “Kings” of “rugby training, referees meetings, rugby meetings, club meetings, board meetings, et aliter”, you might want to show us your mettle and organise decent sponsorship, to broadcast the league in the media to make it louder so us deaf diaspora oeuns can hear what a gwan? u know something on the net, maybe in print or maybe on supersport…then maybe i can PVR it…heh, just sayin’ 🙂
re: the US$ denominated budget, what happened to the sovereignty they are always bleating on about. What is more colonialist imperialist dog-like than taking on someone else’s money?
Question is: are they allowed to do that?
http://www.zimbabwerugby.com/
The political order in Zim have become idiotic yet brutal caricatures of the white colonialist order…
They got so giddy puppeteering for western capital since “independence” and had delusions that they were in control of the Zim economy…
Well, “Pat”, with ZANU PF arrogance unabated, expects us to be humbled that they, the mighty ones, now acknowledge what they have forced the rest of the nation to live with for the past decade…tchk…
Cool link BD, Hansa on me next time Im by OH…:-)
