This country. I tell you, I’m starting to lose my patience now. There’s never a dull moment, and I reckon other Zimbos are on the verge of losing their rag too.
What could be worse? A new artist comes along, with an refreshingly unique sound, and their debut album goes through the roof. They win a load of awards (Grammys included), and everything is lovely, life is all sunshine and roses and their shit don’t stink.Then the second album comes out, and the follow-up sounds like it was made by someone else.
Now that I’m home, I can’t help but notice a lost of the shine has worn off Harare. In fact, it neither looks nor feels like the city I left two months ago.
Damn. Seven weeks I’ve been in Victoria Falls, and today is the day I finally fly outta here on gilded wings of Chinese-made aeroplane goodness. Lovely!
